Introduction to Jinfeng Laboratory




Jinfeng Laboratory came into being with the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle. It is the "number one project" of the Western (Chongqing) Science City and the first "Chongqing Laboratory" in our city's "416" scientific and technological innovation layout. With "next-generation diagnosis of major diseases" as its core mission, and with original theoretical innovation and "stuck neck" technical basic theoretical breakthroughs as its primary goals, the laboratory has laid out a scientific research platform, gathered talents from all over the world, built a scientific research matrix, carried out organized scientific research, accelerated the creation of an open, hub-type, and platform-type scientific and technological innovation base, and strived to open up a new track for the development of the future diagnosis and treatment industry. Introduction by the leader of the research group




Zhang Xinli, Doctor of Medicine (Pathology), is a full-time PI of Jinfeng Laboratory. From 1997 to 2025, after completing postdoctoral training at the University of California, Los Angeles, UCLA, he served as a full-time teaching and research position until he became a professor and master/doctoral supervisor at UCLA. At UCLA in the United States, he led the team as a project leader, co-leader or main participant to obtain various scientific research funds totaling approximately US$15 million. ; As a core member of scientific research, he led the team to complete the entire chain of research on the new osteogenic gene/protein NELL1 from basic research to clinical translation, and promoted the listing of the start-up company Bone Biologics on Nasdaq. He has published more than 120 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author (including co-authors) in JCI, Nat Conmu, Biomaterials and other magazines. As a mentor, he has led his students to win the Hatton Award in the field of oral medicine research and the ASBMR Young Investigator Award in the field of bone research many times.





Research direction of the research group




The mechanism and application transformation of stem cells and tissue engineering to promote the repair and regeneration of articular cartilage and bone damage. Research involves multiple disciplines and fields such as stem cell biology, biomaterials, bone and cartilage tissue regenerative medicine, and preclinical large animal models.







Job requirements and application conditions




one, young scholars (2 people)

(1) Work content:

Assist the PI to guide postdoctoral fellows and scientific research assistants to carry out specific scientific research projects, write articles, apply for projects, etc. Able to conduct independent research and explore new research growth points.

(2) Application conditions:

1.Obtained a doctorate degree in life sciences, medicine, regenerative medicine, biomaterials, biomedical engineering and other related majors;

2.Generally no more than 40 years old;

3.Published 2 or more high-level SCI papers as the first or corresponding author in the fields of cell biology, basic medicine, regenerative medicine, etc. in the past 5 years (enterprise employees have co-published at least 1 high-level SCI paper);

4.Those who are familiar with stem cells and regenerative medicine related fields, have experience in bone and cartilage biological research will be given priority, and those with foreign study and work experience in related fields will be given priority.;

5.Have relatively rich scientific research experience and independent spirit of exploration, have a high level of research and a strong sense of responsibility, organizational coordination and leadership skills.

(3) Work location: Chongqing High-tech Zone-Jinfeng Laboratory (Full-time)

two, Postdoctoral fellow (3 people)

(1) Work content:

Under the leadership of the PI, carry out independent project research and specific scientific research work, assist in guiding the experimental work of junior researchers in the laboratory, and write research results articles, apply for research projects, etc.

(2) Application conditions:

1.Have obtained or are about to obtain a doctoral degree in life sciences, basic medicine, regenerative medicine, biomaterials, biomedical engineering or related majors;

2.The age is generally not more than 35 years old (in compliance with relevant national postdoctoral management regulations);

3.Candidates who have published high-quality SCI papers as the first or co-author in the past three years or who have applied for and received funding from provincial and ministerial scientific research funds will be given priority.;

4.Have strong subjective initiative and internal drive, keen insight into the frontiers of scientific research, and good problem-solving abilities, patience, resilience and perseverance.

(3) Work location: Chongqing High-tech Zone-Jinfeng Laboratory (Full-time)

three, Research assistant (1-2 people)

(one) Work content:

Assist in the daily management of the laboratory, assist in the implementation of scientific research projects according to the requirements of the PI (biological materials research and evaluation, data and information management, or participate in the implementation of cell biology, animal models, tissue pathology, etc.), and participate in the drafting and correction of academic papers and project applications and other related documents.

(2) Application conditions:

1.Master's degree or above in life sciences, basic medicine, regenerative medicine, biomaterials, biomedical engineering and other related majors (applicants with foreign study and work experience are welcome to apply);

2.Generally no more than 35 years old;

3.Have basic theoretical knowledge of polymer biomaterials and the operation of medical experimental instruments and equipment, have a scientific research level suitable for the job, have good organizational and coordination skills and strong communication skills. Applicants who are familiar with microfluidics and electrospinning processes are especially preferred.

(3) Work location: Chongqing High-tech Zone-Jinfeng Laboratory (full-time).
