Introduction to Jinfeng Laboratory
Jinfeng Laboratory is a strategic scientific and technological force created by the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to implement the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Development Strategy and build a nationally influential scientific and technological innovation center. It is the first operational "Chongqing Laboratory" and is the core support for building the "416" scientific and technological innovation layout and creating a life and health science and technology innovation highland. The laboratory focuses on major scientific issues in life and health and "stuck" technologies, with "next-generation diagnosis of major diseases" as its core mission, and carries out basic research on the "Pathological Phenomics Project" and research and development of cross-scale multi-modal disease imaging technology. It strives to build new systems and methods for disease classification, empower industrial innovation, cultivate and develop new productive forces, and create an open, hub-type, and platform-type scientific and technological innovation center. The laboratory covers an area of 128 acres and has a construction area of 135,000 square meters. Since its inauguration in June 2022, the laboratory's first phase of 100,000 square meters of research and development space has been put into use, and 8 research platforms including a smart pathology laboratory, a disease phenomics laboratory, a pathological spatiotemporal omics center, an experimental animal center, and a single-cell transcriptome platform have been built, as well as diagnostic platforms such as a precision diagnosis center. Recruited 41 PI teams and gathered more than 400 scientific researchers. Give full play to the advantages of the new national system, formulate a task list, implement an integrated design of basic research, applied basic research, and achievement transformation, carry out organized scientific research, and improve the efficiency of scientific and technological innovation. Significant progress has been made in original research on the pathogenesis of brain glioma and technological breakthroughs in smart pathological diagnosis. |
