
Introduction by the leader of the research group
Ding Yanqing is a national-level famous teaching teacher, professor, chief physician, and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Pathology of Southern Medical University/Southern Hospital. He is an expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council. He once served as director of the Department of Pathology, a key training discipline of the Ministry of Education (Pathology and Pathophysiology), director of the National Key Clinical Specialty, and director of the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Molecular Tumor Pathology. He is a member of the Discipline Evaluation Group of the 6th and 7th Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, a national outstanding doctoral thesis advisor, and a strategic scientist employed by Jinfeng Laboratory.
Hosted and completed more than 50 national fund key projects, national 863 projects, 973 subtopics, Sino-German cooperation, National Natural Science Foundation key and general projects, and provincial and ministerial level research topics, and published more than 200 papers included in SCI (including Cell, N Eng J Med, Gastroenterology, Gut, J Hepatology, Nature Communications, etc.), the published papers have been selected into the "Top 2% of the World's Top Scientists" for five consecutive years (2020-2024 jointly released by Stanford University and Elsevier)”; He has won 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 special prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award, 1 first prize of Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Award, 1 first prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, 2 first prizes of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award and a total of 12 other provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards.
Research direction of the research group
Based on smart pathology, the research team develops intelligent diagnostic technology based on pathological images and multi-omics multi-modal smart diagnostic technology and products, providing new ways and new technologies for tumor molecular pathology and smart pathology diagnosis, improving the level of accurate tumor diagnosis, and assisting the development of molecular diagnosis and artificial intelligence industries.
Job requirements and application conditions
1. Biotechnology Engineer (2-3 people)
(1) Work content:
1. Public database data mining, spatial transcriptomics data quality control, multi-omics data joint analysis and cross-validation;
2. Assist the project leader in developing projects, writing articles, applying for projects, etc.
(2) Application conditions:
1. Master's degree or above in bioinformatics, oncology, biomedical engineering, biology, medicine or related majors (preference will be given to those with a doctoral degree and those who meet one of the following conditions: ① Proficient in using TCGA, GEO, ArrayExpress and other databases and having the ability to integrate cross-data sets; ②Proficient in interpretable machine learning, deep learning and other artificial intelligence analysis strategies to identify key biomarkers or combinations. It is better to have a biological background to interpret results. ; ③Be proficient in the combined analysis of multi-omics data such as single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptome data, and be able to use omics sequencing methods to explain biological problems to a certain extent. ; ④Proficient in pharmacokinetic analysis technologies such as virtual screening, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics simulations ; ⑤In multi-omics analysis, in addition to simple deconvolution annotation, we also have a basic understanding and application ability of spatial cell communication, spatial co-localization analysis, neighborhood analysis, niche analysis and other technologies. ; ⑥In terms of drug screening, have a basic understanding and application ability of commonly used single cell-based drug screening methods on the market, such as beyondcell, drug2cell, etc.) ;
2. Have the scientific research level and ability to organize and effectively carry out relevant work that is suitable for the job;
3. Applicants who have published SCI papers in Zone 2 or above in academic journals in related fields as the first author will be given priority (including acceptance);
4. Applicants with experience in leading independent projects will be given priority;
5. Applicants with good expression and writing skills in Chinese and English, and able to write articles independently will be given priority;
6. Love scientific research, be responsible, have good communication and coordination skills and team spirit.

2. Algorithm Engineer/Algorithm Intern (2-3 people)
(1) Work content:
1. Participate in the development of automatic analysis algorithms for medical pathology and bioinformatics;
2. Participate in the development of virtual cell algorithms;
3. Assist the project leader in developing projects, writing articles, applying for projects, etc.
(2) Application conditions:
1. Master's degree or above in computer-related majors (preference will be given to those with a doctoral degree);
2. Proficient in the Python programming language, have solid coding skills and debugging capabilities, and be proficient in at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch/TensorFlow is preferred);
3. Have experience in computer vision, image processing, and deep learning algorithm implementation;
4. Applicants with relevant scientific research or development experience in the field of digital pathology, bioinformatics, and virtual cells will be given priority;
5. Applicants who have published SCI papers in Zone II and above in academic journals in related fields as the first author, and those who have published papers in CCF-B and above conferences will be given priority (including acceptance);
6. Possess product-oriented thinking and have the execution ability to transform scientific research results into products;
7. Applicants with good expression and writing skills in Chinese and English, and able to write articles independently will be given priority.
