On October 12, the "15th Annual Conference of Chinese Stem Cells", hosted by the Stem Cell Biology Branch of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology, co-organized by the International Stem Cell Organization (ISCF) and the Asian Alliance for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine (AASCRM), and hosted by Jinfeng Laboratory, the First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University, and the Sichuan Stem Cell Technology and Cell Therapy Association, concluded successfully at the Chongqing Science Hall.

With the theme of "Stem Cell Research and Transformation - Hundreds of Competitions", the annual conference has one main venue and eight sub-venues. The topics cover seven core areas: "Stem Cells and Development", "Stem Cells and Regeneration", "Stem Cells and Disease Models", "Stem Cell Applications and Industry", "Stem Cell Frontier Intersection" and "Cancer Stem Cells". It systematically displays the development picture of the entire chain of stem cell research from basic science to clinical application, from technological innovation to industrial implementation, and provides multi-perspective development ideas for stem cell research and transformation.
During the conference, more than a hundred experts and scholars from China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia exchanged in-depth the latest progress in basic research, clinical practice, and industrial transformation of stem cells in the form of academic reports and seminars, looked into the future development trends of the stem cell field, and promoted cross-border integration and innovation in the stem cell field. Seven scientific researchers from Jinfeng Laboratory gave academic reports at the sub-forum, which aroused heated discussion and widespread concern among the participants.

In addition, the annual meeting also set up special links such as the release of special funds for stem cells, poster presentations, and youth forums to coordinate efforts in promoting the display of academic achievements and cultivating young talents, and injecting new momentum into the sustainable development of the stem cell field.
On the opening day of the annual meeting, important experts and scholars attending the meeting made a special trip to the Jinfeng Laboratory Stem Cell Center to visit and conduct in-depth exchanges around research directions, platform construction and future cooperation directions.

As one of the core functional units of Jinfeng Laboratory's key layout, Jinfeng Stem Cell Center has a total construction area of 11,000 square meters and has built three core platforms: resource storage and GMP cell preparation (to meet the needs of IIT and IND Phase I), cell quality control and testing, and basic and translational application research. It has the ability to carry out process development, quality research and pilot transformation of drugs such as stem cells, immune cells and their derivatives. It is the largest stem cell research and application transformation platform in the western region. The center is committed to research on stem cell fate regulation mechanisms, research on key technologies and transformation of products with independent intellectual property rights. Focus on the whole-process quality control of stem cell products, carry out quality testing technology research and development, method verification and standardization construction, and establish scientific, standardized and internationally-aligned stem cell quality control and evaluation technical standards. At present, 5 expert teams, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 4 national-level talents, have been stationed. The total number of scientific researchers has reached 80, and they are responsible for a number of national-level, provincial-level and ministerial-level special projects. In the future, the center will continue to work hard and strive to become an innovative highland for basic and translational research on stem cells and an important platform for the coordinated development of national stem cell resources.
The successful holding of this annual meeting provides a high-level communication platform for the stem cell academic community at home and abroad, and also fully demonstrates the profound accumulation and platform advantages of Jinfeng Laboratory in the field of stem cells. The laboratory will continue to uphold the concept of open cooperation, gather global wisdom, and contribute to the advancement of my country's life science and technology industry.
