All relevant units:

Jinfeng Laboratory's second batch of "Standardized Pathology Database Plan for the 2025 National Diseases" project application forms are collected. The specific matters are notified as follows.

1. Collection of contents

Direction 1: Standardized pathological data set for lung tumors

(I) Research Objective

Taking lung tumors as a demonstration, a standardized data set of lung tumors was constructed.

(II) Assessment indicators

1. Form a consensus on 1 expert on lung tumor sample collection and quality control.

2. Form a consensus on 1 expert on collecting lung tumor data sets and quality control.

3. Form an expert consensus on grading and labeling of pathological tissues of lung tumors.

4. Construct one pathological diagnosis data set for general diseases.

5. Construct one multimodal high-quality lung tumor dataset.

6. Quality evaluation of the built data sets through third-party institutions.

7. The data collected meets ethical requirements and passes ethical review.

(III) Implementation cycle

2 years.

(IV) Funding amount

It is planned to invest 3 million yuan in special funding.

(V) Requirements for the application subject

Application for medical institutions is encouraged to apply for joint application for multi-center and multi-disciplinary studies.

Direction 2: Standardized pathological data set for colorectal tumors

(I) Research Objective

Taking colorectal tumors as an example, a standardized data set of colorectal tumors was constructed.

(II) Assessment indicators

1. Form 1 expert consensus on colorectal tumor sample collection standards.

2. Form a standard expert consensus on colorectal tumor sample data set.

3. Formulate standard guidelines for image labeling of colorectal tumor pathological tissues/1 expert consensus.

4. Construct one pathological diagnosis data set for general diseases.

5. Construct one multimodal high-quality colorectal tumor dataset.

6. Quality evaluation of the built data sets through third-party institutions.

7. The data collected meets ethical requirements and passes ethical review.

(III) Implementation cycle

2 years.

(IV) Funding amount

It is planned to invest 3 million yuan in special funding.

(V) Requirements for the application subject

Application for medical institutions is encouraged to apply for joint application for multi-center and multi-disciplinary studies.

Direction 3: Construction and characteristics of disease pathological diagnosis data sets in multi-ethnic areas (I) Research objectives

Study the diversity characteristics of disease data sets and promote the standardized application and implementation of artificial intelligence diagnosis and treatment technologies.

(II) Assessment indicators

1. 1 large-scale data set for pathological diagnosis of diseases in multiethnic areas.

2. The pathological diagnosis data set of ≥6 for a single disease with high incidence of diseases in multi-ethnic areas.

3. 1 study report on the characteristics analysis of disease data sets in multiethnic areas.

4. 1 report on the quality evaluation of disease data sets in multi-ethnic areas.

(III) Implementation cycle

3 years.

(IV) Funding amount

The fixed amount of funding is 4 million yuan, and the leading unit will provide 1:2 supporting funds and a total funding of 12 million yuan.

(V) Requirements for the application subject

For medical institutions, priority support is given to application institutions in multi-ethnic areas. Pre-research on multi-ethnic distribution is required, and schools, enterprises and scientific research institutions are encouraged to adopt a combination of production, education, research, application and medicine.

2. Application requirements

In addition to meeting the above-mentioned corresponding conditions, the following requirements must also be followed:

(I) Requirements for the application unit

The applicant unit (including the leading and participating units) should be a legal medical institution with project implementation capabilities.

(II) Requirements from the applicant

1. The project leader should be a person in the leading unit, have a senior professional and technical title, and have a related research background； Those who have undertaken 2 or more independent projects under development in the laboratory (except decision-making consultation) as the project leader shall not apply as the project leader.

2. Project participants should have relevant research background and need to participate in and undertake the organization and implementation of the project in a substantial manner.

(III) Other requirements

1. The project application unit, participating unit, project leader, and project team members must have good integrity and be responsible for the authenticity of the application materials. If any fraud is found, it will be included in the negative list of scientific research integrity in the laboratory.

2. Project application units, participating units, project leaders, and project team members must strictly abide by scientific and technological ethics standards, carry out scientific and technological ethics reviews in accordance with regulations, and consciously accept supervision from relevant parties.

3. Project application units, participating units, project leaders, and project team members must strictly abide by the Biosafety Law of the People's Republic of China, including human genetic resources and biological resource security.

4. The research content and assessment indicators listed in the guide are the minimum requirements that need to be met during project assessment.

5. The specific execution cycle of this project shall be subject to the time of signing the agreement.

III. Application procedure

(I) Fill in the project application form

The project manager shall fill out the "Jinfeng Laboratory Independent Project (Project System) Application Form" (Appendix 1) in accordance with the content and requirements of the guideline to ensure that it is standardized, accurate and complete.

(II) Submit project application form

1. The project manager sends the main text of the project application form and relevant attachment materials to the email address: kyxm@jflab.ac.cn, and the unit stamp page is submitted in the form of a PDF scan.

2. Email subject and compression package naming: application unit + applicant + project name, relevant materials naming: attachment X + attachment name.

(III) Application form acceptance

The deadline for the collection of materials is October 10, 2025, and will not be accepted after the deadline. After the project application is accepted, the laboratory research management team will conduct a formal review. After approval, external experts will be organized to carry out project approval review, comprehensively evaluate and determine the project approval list and publish it publicly.

4. Others

The relevant content of this notice will be used as an important basis for project establishment, project assessment, and project acceptance, and the laboratories shall fully interpret the matters not covered.
