Lecture preview | Gao Weina: Application of clinical functional proteomics in tumor microenvironment
Lecture information
Introduction to the speaker
Dr. Gao Weina is formerly an assistant professor of research in the Department of Chemistry, Southern University of Science and Technology, and a master's supervisor. In 2016, he obtained a doctorate in traditional Chinese medicine from the Macau University of Science and Technology, and in the same year he joined Southern University of Science and Technology for postdoctoral research.
Research field: Currently, it is mainly committed to signal transduction research, related bioinformatics analysis and tool development in tumor microenvironment, and methodological development and clinical application research of glycoproteomics.
Academic achievements: More than 20 papers have been published in mainstream international academic journals, including Nature, Nat. Commun., etc. In 2020, he won the C-class talent of "Peacock Program" for Shenzhen's overseas high-level talent. In August 2021, he applied for approval of the National Youth Science Fund and participated in many national provincial and ministerial fund projects.
On November 13, 2024, Nature published the latest research results entitled "Clinical functional proteomics of intercellular signaling in pancreatic cancer". By using clinical functional proteomics strategies, the signaling between cancer cells and stromal cells in the PDAC microenvironment was systematically analyzed, and Dr. Gao Weina is the co-first author of the article.
