1. Introduction to the research team leader

Professor Ning Ke, the leader of the research team, is a tenured professor at the University of Sheffield, a famous British scientific research university, and a doctoral supervisor. Visiting and lecturer at Tongji University in Shanghai. Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Notre Dame, the University of Toronto, Canada and the University of Dundee, England. He has served as deputy chairman of the British Society of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and director of gene and stem cell therapy; deputy general manager of R&D of Shenzhen Sebeno Gene Technology Company; chief scientist of gene drugs and director of stem cell drug R&D of Guangdong Xiankanda Group. He has been engaged in clinical and translational research in neurology for more than 30 years and has rich experience in basic and clinical translational research. It is the world's first most effective preclinical research leader in the treatment of neuropathy (spinal muscular atrophy, SMA) gene drug (Zolgensm, priced at US$2.125 million). More than 50 SCI papers have been published, including the first or corresponding author papers published in a series of journals such as Nat Cell Biol, Nat Neurosci, Sci Transl Med, PANS, Brain, Mol Ther, EMBO J, Signal Transduct Target Ther, etc.

2. Research direction of the research group

The research group has long been committed to the basic and clinical translational research of neuroscience and neurodegenerative diseases (ALS, SMA, AD, PD). The research directions include:

(I) Gene therapy mediated by lentivirus (LV) and adeno-associated virus (AAV);

(II) Research and development of new drugs for the treatment of stem cells (MSC, iPSC).

Job requirements and application requirements

1. Senior researcher, general researcher (2-3 people)

(I) Work content:

Assist and guide postdoctoral fellows to carry out projects, write articles, apply for projects, etc.

(II) Application conditions:

1. Have obtained a doctorate degree in basic medicine, clinical medicine, life sciences, immunology, molecular biology and other related majors, and the age is not over 40 years old.

2. There are no less than 2 original works, of which at least 1 is a JCR District 1 paper.

3. Have rich scientific research experience and independent exploration spirit, have high academic level and strong sense of responsibility, organizational coordination and leadership skills.

(III) Work location: Chongqing.

2. Postdoctoral fellows (2-3 people)

(I) Work content:

Able to carry out independent research on projects, conduct experiments, write articles, apply for projects, etc. under the guidance of the project leader.

(II) Application conditions:

1. Have obtained or are about to obtain a PhD in basic medicine, clinical medicine, life sciences, immunology, molecular biology and other related majors.

2. Have a broad scientific vision, have a keen insight into the cutting-edge scientific research, be down-to-earth and willing to work hard, and have a spirit of professionalism and innovation.

(III) Work location: Chongqing.

3. Scientific research assistant (1-2 people)

(I) Work content:

Assist the project manager in carrying out projects, writing articles, applying for projects, etc.

(II) Application conditions:

1. Have obtained or are about to obtain a master's degree in basic medicine, clinical medicine, life sciences, immunology, and molecular biology, and the age is generally no more than 35 years old;

2. Those who have published SCI papers above District 2 as the first author in academic journals in relevant fields are preferred (including acceptance);

3. Those with independent leading topics are preferred;

4. Those who have good Chinese and English expression and writing skills and can complete the article independently are given priority;

5. Love scientific research, have a sense of responsibility, and have good communication and coordination skills and team spirit.

(III) Work location: Chongqing.
