introduction to the project leader

liang li, director of the department of pathology, school of basic medicine, southern medical university/director of pathology, professor, phd supervisor, chief physician; was selected as the national hundred million talent project, the ministry of education’s new century outstanding talent, and the guangdong province pearl river scholar distinguished professor. the main research directions are tumor metastasis and drug resistance molecular mechanisms and intelligent diagnostic strategies. he chaired several projects such as the national key r&d plan, the national natural science foundation, guangdong province's major science and technology project, guangzhou city's key field r&d plan, etc.; the relevant results were obtained by corresponding authors (including joint) in the lancet, gastroenterology, journal of hepatology, cancer communications, hepatology and nature communication have published 3 sci papers cited by high-ranking people; he won one chinese medical science award and one guangdong natural science award as the first person, and took the lead in formulating one pathology industry guide and participating in 10 items.

molecular mechanisms and intelligent diagnosis of tumor metastasis and drug resistance

the research team conducted research on the discovery, molecular mechanism and clinical transformation of new biomarkers such as colorectal cancer in response to clinical medical problems such as tumor metastasis and treatment resistance, the lack of new technologies and new products, and developed intelligent diagnostic technology based on pathological images. and multiomic multimodal intelligent diagnosis technology and products, providing new theories and new ideas for tumor metastasis and drug resistance, providing new ways and new technologies for tumor molecular pathology and intelligent pathology diagnosis, improving the level of accurate tumor diagnosis, and assisting molecular diagnosis and the development of the artificial intelligence industry.

job requirements and application requirements

(i) scientific research assistant/assistant researcher (1-2 people)

1. work content: assist pi in guiding doctoral students, postdoctoral students and research assistants to carry out projects, write articles, apply for projects, etc.

2. application requirements:

(1) those who have or are about to obtain a master's degree or above in basic medicine, life sciences, biology and other related majors will be given priority for those with a doctorate degree, and the age is generally not over 35 years old;

(2) as the first author, sci papers (including acceptance) have been published in academic journals in related fields in the second and above;

(2) algorithm engineer (1-2 people)

1. work content:

(1) participate in the research and development of automatic medical imaging analysis algorithms, encourage the publication of high-quality image processing papers, etc.;

(2) carry out research and development work in related fields such as deep learning;

(3) responsible for the construction of deep learning frameworks, including algorithms and systems research and development of machine learning, image processing, etc.;

(4) have productive thinking, team spirit, and have the execution ability to transform scientific research results into productive transformation.

2. application requirements:

(1) those with a master's degree or above are given a doctorate degree.

(2) computer-related majors, proficient in or familiar with deep learning-related algorithms;

(3) have strong programming skills and proficient in one or more deep learning platforms such as caffe, theano, pytorch, tensorflow, etc.;

(4) have relevant experience in computer vision, image processing, and deep learning algorithm implementation;

(5) relevant development experience in the field of digital pathology is preferred;

(6) experience in developing super-large image algorithms with billions of pixels is preferred;
